AMR's fortnight was a nice change of pace (many thanks, sir). I'm going to focus on trying to dig up some more off the beaten path bands as well. Stuff you've never heard of before. Real indie stuff, you know?

I kept waiting for the Gong.
When the falsetto was allowed for more than a few bars, I knew it wasn't coming.
I think there's some mockery or performance art going on here that I just don't get because Tiny Tim was already part of culture when I showed up.
At first I thought he was doing some sort of Elvis impression . . . and then came the falsetto.
This gets about a 7 on my recently invented rating scale.
I saw Tiny Tim live in 1989 or 1990. Other performers at that concert: Micky Dolenz, the Tokens, Bobby "Boris" Pickett, and some assortment of Iron Butterfly. Tiny Tim was exceptionally sweet in signing an autograph; Micky Dolenz was a jerk. I saw Dr. Hook & the Medicine Show at the same venue around the same time, but I believe they were the headliners.
