  1. Fun fact!

만지지 마세요 (ahn je je mah say you) means "do not touch" in Korean.

    Stay away from the beans!

    1. Frenchy would've been the perfect weak side of a platoon with Arcia. The defense, though, woof...

  2. Trolling MLBTR today and saw two Twins (and an ex-Twin) mentioned in high-priced non-tender candidates. The two candidates are Milone and Plouffe and the prediction is non-tender for both.

Milone makes sense to non-tender. He hasn't done well in MLB, I'm sure fielding had absolutely nothing to do with it, and there's plenty of other options for the rotation. Maybe if they move him to the bullpen but seems unlikely for the Twins to try that now. He passed through waivers to make it to AAA so a trade wouldn't happen.

Plouffe also makes sense but if he is, that's a notable misstep to not trade him after last season. They might keep him just to not have that and pray another team will trade for him.

      1. Or hire someone that hires someone that knows about it.

      1. Yeah, that's my main plan. Look like the state parks don't open up booking until February though. I just wanted to get something booked just in case. Not that hotel though.

    1. They really EpiPenned the crap outta that, huh?

I can not-see the sun whenever I want, for free. Look, I'm not-seeing it now!

        1. Sorry, I'll try to keep my trolling to a minimum. And you're right about this being a lifetime event. That's why I've already got my plans made for the one that hits Minnesota in 2099.

        2. I would go but don't have the ability to do it. There is another total eclipse taking an orthogonal path in 2024 that I have penciled in however.

          1. Looks like we'll get 80% in the Twin Cities so I'll settle for that until seven years later.

            1. It's actually pretty favorable for Seattle. Regularly sunny weather that time of year and it looks like we're closer to 90% than 80%. Maybe I'll have to narrow the housing search to require a rooftop deck.

                1. I think that was just covered in one of my Astronomy articles I read in the last couple months; they compare pretty closely, although it depends on the configuration a bit. More importantly is being able to view the corona without regard of any eye protection.

      1. Here in Seattle we have entire seasons where we don't see the sun, but I suppose in August it's usually visible during the day.
