2016 World Series: Game Four

Corey Kluber
vs
John Lackey.

538 predicts Cleveland has a 49% chance of winning this game and a 63% chance of winning the series. The Cubs have the advantage in all of the games up to a hypothetical Game 7. They do need to remember how to score again though.

  1. 3-1 in the bottom of the third. Kluber wavering a bit but Cleveland seems close to making the outcome inevitable.

  2. I wonder if Miller will go two innings or if Francona will do the usual one inning per reliever.

  3. Smoltz questioning Francona keeping Miller in for the eighth. I have to agree. He's just going to drive up his pitch count after his quick seventh inning. He will probably make an appearance in tomorrow's game.

    1. I agree, too. I get that Francona's saying we want to make darn sure we win this game, but it seems like the Cleveland bullpen is good enough that you could trust it with a six-run lead for two innings.

  4. So Cleveland goes forever since their last championship and now they're on the verge of two in one year. Obviously.

    1. Stolen from Twitter:

      Cleveland: We want a Championship
Devil: O.k. But you gotta take the G.O.P. Convention though.
      Cleveland: Deal!
Devil: It's going to be Trump.
      Cleveland: We want two.
