Minor Details: Games of April 29

A strong outing for Aaron Slegers.  Kohl Stewart can't find the strike zone.  Unearned runs sink the Miracle.

ROCHESTER 7, LOUISVILLE 1 IN ROCHESTER

The Red Wings scored five runs in the third to go up 7-0 and Aaron Slegers took it from there.  Leonardo Reginatto had a two-run double in the inning.  The Bats got their lone run in the sixth, when they scored without benefit of a hit.

Slegers, who had been hit hard in his two previous outings, was brilliant here, going eight innings and allowing an unearned run on seven hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  D. J. Baxendale pitched a perfect ninth.  Tommy Field was 3-for-3 with a home run (his third), two doubles, and a walk, raising his average to .318.  Reginatto was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .309.  Matt Hague was 2-for-4 with a walk and is batting .312.  Ehire Adrianza was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .350.

JACKSON 7, CHATTANOOGA 4 IN JACKSON

The Lookouts scored two runs in the first and two in the eighth, but in-between the Generals scored seven to get the win.  Jackson tied it in the third, took the lead in the fifth, and got three insurance runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

Kohl Stewart continues to struggle, especially with his control.  He pitched four innings and gave up two runs on five hits and four walks with one strikeout.  He has now walked 20 in 19.1 innings.  He has never had this kind of problem with his control before.  Edgar Corcino was 2-for-3 with a walk to lead the offense.  Nick Gordon was 1-for-5 and is batting .317.  Tanner English was 0-for-3 to drop his average to .091.

DUNEDIN 6, FORT MYERS 2 IN FORT MYERS

Danny Jansen's two-run double capped a three-run third, which was all the Blue Jays needed.  They led 6-0 before the Miracle got on the board with two in the sixth on Alex Perez' RBI single and a run-scoring double by Zander Weil.  Fort Myers had men on second and third with one out, but a fly ball double play ended the threat and they did not get a man to third base again.

Lachlan Wells pitched five innings and gave up five runs (two earned) on eight hits and two walks with four strikeouts.  Nick Anderson pitched a scoreless inning to keep his ERA at zero.  He has pitched 8.1 innings and given up 5 hits and 1 walk with 7 strikeouts.  Rafael P. Valera was 2-for-4.  Max Murphy was 2-for-5 with a double.  Chris Paul was 0-for-3 to drop his average to .300.
