May 13, 2017: Friday the 13th!!!

...will not happen this month, but I'm on break, and threw myself off for a second.

I know how ridiculously early it is to say this, and there are all sorts of things that could happen to make it not true, but I think with Miguel Sano, we could be watching the start of a Hall of Fame career.

Yesterday morning I rescued a 3' black rat snake from the netting covering the blueberries in our back landscaping; currently the unofficial Facebook tally is running about 50/50 that I did the right thing by cutting it free, which makes me a bit disappointed.

I didn't weigh in, but I do think you did the righy, humane thing by letting it go. However, you did the wrong thing by not immediately moving and burning your house down.

As an animal lover, I whole-heartedly approve of saving the snake.

As someone who is terrified of snakes, I whole-heartedly approve of you being the one to do it instead of me.
