  1. I wonder what the Twins record for most hits allowed in a three game series ? This series has got to be close.

    1. This isn't the most hits in three games versus one team in the last 3 weeks, but it's certainly understandable if you erased the Astros series from your memory. This series is actually close to the Astros (45 hits vs. 47), which means in their last 6 home games, the Twins have allowed 92 hits (15.3 hits per game). They also allowed 18 hits to the Rays in their final game of that series, which means they've allowed 110 hits in their last 7 home games (15.7). They've also allowed at least 6 runs in 8 straight home games. That's 75 runs in 7 games.

  2. Eddie Rosario swung and hit a ball that was 6 inches in the left hand batters box. He did not get on base.

  3. On June 2, Eduardo Escobar had a .630 OPS. Since then, he's 15-for-27 and his OPS is now at .779. Sano, Grossman and Dozier are the only Twins with a better OPS than Escobar on the season. And he's not far behind Dozier.

  4. With a 3-for-3 night. Byron Buxton is batting .213 with an OPS of .612. Nothing to shout about, but those numbers are a long way from where he was at the end of April (.174, .432). We can hope he's left the Mendoza line behind for good and that the numbers will continue to go up the rest of the season.

      That sounds even better.

    2. On April 23, he had a .301 OPS and was given the day off for a mental health break. The next day, he had a couple walks and had at least one walk in five straight games. Since April 23, Buxton is batting .260/.341/.407 for an OPS of .748.

      1. I have hopes that he'll eventually do even better, but if he just kept that up, with his defense, he'd be a very valuable player.
