Game 86 Twins hosting O’s

With the win last night, it guarantees the Twins will be at or above .500 at the All Star Break.  I would have never guessed that during Spring Training.

Felix Jorge starts tonight. He showed enough in his last start to at least get a second and third try. Kevin Gausman o for the O's. In  his last 5 starts against the Twins, he has pitched 24 innings and surrendered 18 runs. I like our chances for a W tonight!

  1. Vargas hits a ball harder than either of the O's home runs and instead of it carrying out, it hits off the wall and he's thrown out oversliding second base. FWIW, I think he should be credited with a double since he gained second base then was thrown out when he came off the bag, so technically, he should be out attempting to go to third.

    1. If you want to help a team at least marginally in contention and you want a chance to be able to pitch, there's probably not a better team to sign with than the Twins. The Twins really have nothing to lose. I suspect Jorge will be sent down after this game and will be given the Berrios speech that he needs to have better command of his fastball.

  2. They keep playing like this for the next few weeks, the FO may be forced to go bigger than Colon-type pickups.
