Tyler Beardsley pitched just 4.2 innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and no walks with one strikeout.  Cedar Rapids had just four hits.

ELIZABETHTON 7, BRISTOL 1 IN ELIZABETHTON

RBI doubles by Wander Javier and Jose Miranda put the Twins ahead 2-0 in the first and they led all the way.  The Pirates' lone run came in the fifth, making the score 3-1, but Elizabethton scored two in the bottom of the fifth and controlled the game the rest of the way.

Charlie Barnes pitched five innings, giving up an unearned run on four hits and a walk with four strikeouts.  He threw 69 pitches.  His ERA is now 1.31 with 22 strikeouts in 20.2 innings.  Nick Brown struck out eight in four shutout innings of relief.  He has 24 strikeouts in 16.1 innings, but his ERA is 6.61 with a WHIP of 1.53.  Rainis Silva was 3-for-4 with a home run and is batting .325.  T. DSL TWINS 5, DSL CARDINALS 4 AT TWINS (10 INNINGS)

Carlos Salazar tripled and scored on a Zaino Henriquez single in the fifth to put the Twins ahead 3-2.  Ivan Herrera singled in a run in the eighth to tie it 3-3.  The Cardinals started the tenth with a man on second, bunted him to third, and brought him home on another Herrera single.  In the bottom of the tenth, the Twins also started the tenth with a man on second and bunted him to third, but then Yeltsin Encarnacion tripled to tie the score and put the winning run on third base.  Two intentional walks followed, but the strategy was spoiled when a wild pitch brought home the winning run.
