  1. Didn't have much to say:

Sorry, not a lot of time here, but the game's about to begin. These next couple series are a chance for the Twins to put some distances between them and some of the other contenders. Hoping to keep things going here.

  2. Greeneville scores once in the top of the first. Elizabethton scores five in the bottom of the first and is still batting. The E-Twins need to win to stay alive in the best-of-three series.

  3. The E-Twins add one more and lead 6-1 after one inning. J. J. Robinson had a three-run homer in the inning.

  4. Buxton is scary good. Over the last couple months, you can see why the hype was so big for him when he was in the minors. If the Rays continue to shift on defense for him the way they did his first time up, I hope he bunts it hard down the first base line for a double (or more).

  5. Greeneville scores in the top of the second on a double and two singles. 6-2 Elizabethton after one and a half.

  6. Greeneville scored one in the top of the fifth to cut the lead to 7-3, but the Twins responded with five in the bottom of the fifth to go up 12-3. Kolton Kendrick hit a two-run homer. It's kind of been a bullpen game for the E-Twins, with starter Brusdar Graterol going three innings and Melvi Acosta coming in for the next two (so far). They certainly should be able to piece together the last four innings somehow.

  7. This Curtiss guy has been in a few games, but I've don't recall him pitching.
But he looks like he can pitch!

    1. Dozier has score at least 1 run 6 of the last 7 games, 10 runs total.
83 on the season, he might get to 100

  8. Weird. I assumed retired pitchers weren't allowed to pitch. Are the Rays letting Perkins pitch as a courtesy to save the bullpen?

  9. I hope Perkins gets the rust out of his system during these blowout games and comes back healthy and better next year.

    1. The Twins problem will be keeping themselves in games they are trailing since they have to save any good relieves for when they are tied or in the lead. It's the main reason they're Pythag is off from their actual record.
