  1. This is Colon's 12th start for the Twins. Other pitchers with 12 starts for the Twins: Andrew Albers, Mike Dyer, Pedro Hernandez, Dan Perkins.

    1. Yes, it is. My guess is that he got sideways with someone high up in the organization. That's entirely speculation, though.

  2. I agree with Bremer. I thought Buxton would be called out for makings that slight move towards second.

    1. What's the rulebook say? (I'm too lazy to look) I'm assuming it includes the weird "intent" somewhere and I don't think he really intended to go to second, it was just an involuntary-ish reaction to a loose ball.

      1. True, but Baseball is weird because you can get called out by going to the replay booth and the ump see you bouncing millimeters off the base when sliding but something like that is "meh, whatever"

        1. You'll get no disagreement from me. I don't like moving strikezones, but I do kind of like the human element on the base paths.

  3. That was Josh Donaldson's 15th HR against Twins pitching, tied for most against opponents (Tampa). Pretty impressive for a guy that never played for an AL Central team.

      1. It's annoying that the all-time best hitter against the Twins is also lucky against the Twins. But then, the all-time best hitter would probably be getting lucky sometimes.

  4. Few things irritate me more than a pitcher getting one out to start an inning and then being replaced.

I want a two batter minimum rule.
