  1. Normally I root for each series to go as long as possible, just so I have more ball games to watch. In this case, however, I'd be fine with the Red Sox and Yankees both getting swept.

  2. I've never been very big on "speed up the game" rules for baseball, but these playoff games may change my mind. The way these games have dragged on is ridiculous.

  3. Well, looks like we're going to game four here. Time to start getting ready to root against the Yankees in the next game.

  4. Not only did both pitchers last through the first inning, there were no runs scored! How about that?

  5. Not only are we through two innings with no score, we're still less than forty-five minutes into the game! Amazing!

  6. So it looks like one way to speed up the game is to use pitchers who can get batters out. Who knew?

    1. Seeing the highlight, it was a nice catch, but not that great. Or maybe I'm just spoiled by seeing Byron Buxton all summer.

      1. That was at least a realistic situation to take a pitcher out. This postseason has been kind of wacky about managers going "whoa, whoa, whoa. One run in and a runner on first in the third? Time for the hook!"

  7. Neither game went the way I wanted it to, but on the plus side, we get to see more baseball. That's a pretty good consolation prize.
