      1. I’m not saying that I’ve developed a plan to destroy the calliope parked on the Mississippi River outside Jackson square, but I’m saying...

        1. Aboard the Natchez, I presume?

I understand my calliope enthusiasm is not widely shared. My hometown had its own circus-style calliope, and every summer the steamboats would announce their arrival at the lock & dam (in Pops' river village) or at the levee (in my hometown) by full-throated calliope & steam whistle. Hearing the calliope echo off the bluffs for miles in every direction was awesome.

    1. It is. The original strib article (referenced in linked story) talked about Dozier being happy he is not reading his name in trade rumors all off season long. The strib headline made it sound like it was a big deal, the story itself did not. Imagine that.

  1. So, I am making green chile chicken, a la KAL (Instant Pot style). But I ... lacked trust. I added a large can of green enchilada sauce (to a 3.5 lb package boneless, skinless thighs, two rough-chopped poblanos, two rough-chopped jalapenos, four quartered tomatillos, a chopped onion, a mess of chopped garlic, cilantro, cumin, oregano and salt).

No doubt it will come out much, much wetter than the proper recipe. But that's ok, Because Chilaquiles!!!!1111one1111!!!!!!!

    1. Do not fear the KLA. I had my doubts about the absence of liquid at first, but the end result without adding any enchilada sauce was the consistency of a thick soup. (not that you ruined it by adding the sauce or anything).
