  2. Last night, my daughter's hockey team won their section and are headed to state for the 6th year in a row. 13 out of the last 15 years. What a ride it's been!

  3. My brother, who some of you know through Spookymilk or somesuch, put together a poem about his CF. It hit me pretty hard, but that's to be expected.

  4. Can you name the six Twins in the top 50 on MLB's All-Time Pitchers Career Games Played list?

        Also, the list will add

        Actual Spoiler SelectShow

        on or about opening day.

          1. If it's Terry Ryan, we have to worry that "$2.5MM if he makes the roster ... but is guaranteed only $500K" means he's a lock for the rotation.

  5. SUI-SWE women is the match the Canadians are announcing.
SWE is behind early, but their skip just made a nice draw (or maybe I watched too much Shuster yesterday).

      1. Sweden is better without the hammer than with tonight. Score is 2-2 when they have the hammer, 4-2 when they don't.

              1. both to extras.
The feeds were about 5 seconds off earlier, now they're almost in sync. I'm getting a phasing effect.

              2. my computer is newish, but RAM seems to be lacking. i relegate most streaming to the chromecast (plus dad's PW, but no can do* on the split screen). free curling in the JPN/CHN game.

                * i read today that this phrase might be racist.

                1. When I had all four feeds up, they would get pixelated a lot more frequently.
But two is good and I even have the kids watching Netflix.

                1. I didn't think either hammer-team's last draw was going to get shot but both did. China had a few more inches of margin there.

                  1. The sweepers did some serious work there. It's never s good sign when the vice has to come up and help, but Nina owes all three of them a drink.

    1. I don't know who the mild-mannered announcer in the JPN-ITA Men's game is, but a good takeout made him (very calmly) say, "Boom boom boom, there is curling in the room".

  6. So, I know that we don't go heavy in the downstairs ... and I get that this place is sacrosanct, but I don't comment online anywhere but here. I hate that SBG was so spot-on, and well before then too. Thoughts and prayers just don't cut it, but it appears that's all we're going to get.

  7. USA - CAN Women's Curling.
    1. USA's alternate shirts are heathered olive ("Army") green?
    2. One of the CBC's frequent ads is for a CBC series about a lawyer or crime scene investigator or similar called "Burden of Truth". Failed show titling there. The lead character's last name should have been "Burton" and the show could be "Burton of Truth"... or wait, shouldn't it be "Burden of Proof"? Maybe "Truth" is the character's name.

    1. Sorry guys, I'm cheering for Canada here. A loss for them would be close to eliminating them, and I really don't want to watch a bunch of games where Homan's just trying to make their finish look respectable.

      1. Well it was good to see that out of Homan's team. Wish it didn't have to happen against my country's team.
        Where was that ruthlessness before?
Hoping they go on a run here and get into the semis with a 6-3 record.

    2. CHN-DEN
The Danes had been playing well, but China just about won this with the 9th end.
I like the makeup of Danish team (even though they're not that good)... two sisters in the 30s, with two 18-year-olds.

  8. Korea stole 2 in the ninth from the Scots and I had to turn down the volume.
China's about to finish the Danes (the 10th end won't finish because Denmark will have two rocks left and need to make up 3).
