Minor Details: Games of April 15

Kohl Stewart pitched well until he didn't.  Not much offense for the Miracle.

ROCHESTER AT GWINNETT

Wet grounded out.

CHATTANOOGA 5, PENSACOLA 4 IN PENSACOLA

The Lookouts built a 4-0 lead half-way through, but the Blue Wahoos cut it to 4-3 through six.  Wynston Sawyer homered in the eighth for an insurance run and Chattanooga needed it, as Pensacola scored in the bottom of the eighth to make it 5-4.  The Blue Wahoos got a leadoff double in the ninth, but could not move the man past second base.

Zander Weil was 3-for-4 with a double and is batting .419.  T. J. White was 2-for-3 with a home run (his second), a walk, and three RBIs.  Kohl Stewart pitched 4.1 hitless innings, but weakened in the sixth and his final line was 5.1 innings, three runs, three hits, one walk, and five strikeouts.  Zack Jones pitched 1.2 scoreless innings despite giving up three walks; he struck out one.  Williams Ramirez struck out the only man he faced to record the save.

TAMPA 6, FORT MYERS 1 IN FORT MYERS (6 1/2 INNINGS--RAIN)

The Tarpons took a 3-0 lead in the second and led 5-1 after five.  The lone Miracle run scored on a wild pitch in the fourth.

Caleb Hamilton was 1-for-2 with a walk.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 1-for-3 and is batting .389.  Starter Clark Beeker pitched just two innings, allowing three runs on four hits and a walk and striking out one.

CLINTON AT CEDAR RAPIDS

Snowed out.

TODAY'S TILTS

6:04*  Rochester (Fernando Romero, 0-0, 0.00) at Charlotte (Dylan Covey, 1-0, 3.60)
6:15  Jacksonville (Max Duval, 0-0, 3.60) at Chattanooga

*I don't know why the Charlotte Knights start their games at 6:04 Central.  I assume it has to do with some sort of promotion, but I could not quickly find out what the promotion is.
