    1. I had to edit this post to move it out of the video slot and I considered submitting a letter noting Rhu_Ru's objections to "longest day." If it makes you feel better, I did emphasize most amount of sunlight with the 4yo this morning when discussing the solstice.

      1. My newly minted 5-year-old was hoping the night would be very short tonight, and I had to break the news that we'd need to go somewhere like Alaska or northern Norway for that to happen.

    2. At StreamingSoundtracks.com, several years ago we started a long standing tradition of playing long tracks* on Summer solstice (short tracks if you live in the southern hemisphere), and the converse on Winter solstice. I was bummed that Patrick Doyle's "St. Crispin's Day -- The Battle of Agincourt" from Henry V had already been requested three hours earlier -- d@mn those Europeans and their earlier days!

*normally these are frowned upon typically as they create a backlog of requests

  1. At the game today. My clients couldn't find parking so went home. App won't let me get their tickets back.

    1. I always take screenshots of any phone tickets I have. No worries about WiFi, weird apps, etc. scanners don’t care if it’s from app or not.

      1. I need to do that. This is a new app this year so I'm still figuring it out.

Going forward, I think I'll just attach the pdf to an email that they can print out. That way, it's still in my app if they can't make it, lose it, etc.

I love baseball but it's pretty boring to attend a game alone. Too much downtime to not have someone to talk to.

  2. Molitor was asked if he thought there was a purpose to pitch Porcello drilled Escobar with. He paused. "It didn’t look particularly good to me."

Also, Mauer was hit twice in a game for the first time in his 15-year career in this series.

  3. Byron Buxton is so far 1-for-3 for Rochester, a single and two strikeouts. He was also hit by a pitch. Miguel Sano is not in the lineup for Fort Myers. Since going to Fort Myers, he has played one, sat one, played one, and now sat one. I can only assume that the Twins have some reason for that, but I don't know what it is and it really does not make much sense to me.
