Minor Details: Games of June 20

Adalberto Mejia has a strong game.  Not much offense for Fort Myers.  Lots of offense for Elizabethton.  Janigson Villalobos has the key hit for the GCL Twins.  The DSL Twins keep scoring runs.

ROCHESTER 2, SYRACUSE 0 IN ROCHESTER

A two-run single by Byron Buxton in the fourth brought home all the runs of the game.  Adalberto Mejia and two relievers took it from there.

Willians Astudillo was 2-for-4 with two doubles.  Wynston Sawyer was 0-for-2 and is batting .323.  Buxton was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Mejia struck out eight in seven shutout innings, giving up three hits and a walk.  His ERA is 2.91.  Gabriel Moya pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 1.71.  Alan Busenitz pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.  His ERA is 1.27.

TAMPA 5, FORT MYERS 1 IN FORT MYERS

Dom Thompson-Williams hit a two-run homer in the sixth that put the Tarpons up 3-0.  The Miracle scored its lone run in the eighth.

Fort Myers had just four hits, with no one getting more than one.  Miguel Sano was 0-for-4.

Clark Beeker struck out seven in six innings, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk.

ELIZABETHTON 15, BURLINGTON 3 IN ELIZABETHTON

The Twins scored four in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead.  Yunior Severino had a two-run single to bring home the tying and lead runs.  Elizabethton put the game out of reach with six in the sixth.

Alex Robles was 4-for-4 with a walk, scoring twice and driving in two.  He is batting .500.  Trevor Casanova was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs.  Ryan Jeffers was 2-for-4 and is batting .571.  DaShawn Kiersey was 2-for-5 with a triple and two runs.  Albie Weiss was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two.  Severino was 2-for-5 with four RBIs.  Jared Akins was 2-for-6 with a triple and a double, scoring twice.

Tyler Palm struck out seven in five innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and no walks.  Derek Molina struck out three in two perfect innings.

GCL TWINS 5, GCL ORIOLES 1 AT TWINS

Janigson Villalobos hit a two-run single in the second that gave the Twins a 2-0 lead.  They added single runs in the fifth, seventh, and eighth.

Samuel Vasquez was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.  He is batting .333.  Gabe Snyder was 2-for-4 with two runs.  Tyler Webb was 2-for-4 and is batting .375.  Yeltsin Encarnacion was 1-for-4 and is batting .573.  Yeremi De La Cruz was 1-for-2 with a double and is batting .750 with a slugging average of 1.500.  Agustin Marte was 1-for-3 and is batting .375.  Kidany Salva was 0-for-2 and is batting .333.

Kai-Wei Teng struck out six in five innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk.  Dylan Stowell pitched two shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out one.  Osiris German pitched two shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out one.

DSL TWINS 13, DSL CARDINALS BLUE 4 AT CARDINALS BLUE

The Twins scored two in the first and led all the way.  Leading 4-2, they scored four in the sixth and five in the eighth.
