FORT MYERS 8, TAMPA 5 IN TAMPA

Trailing 2-0, the Miracle scored five in the third and led the rest of the way.  A Luis Arraez RBI single was followed by a Mark Contreras grand slam.

Arraez was 4-for-5 and is batting .311.  Caleb Hamilton was 2-for-2 with a two-run homer (his second) and scored twice.  Contreras was 1-for-5 and the grand slam was his fourth homer.  Lewin Diaz was 1-for-4 with a home run, his fifth.  Ben Rortvedt was 0-for-3 with a walk and is batting .302.  Jorge Polanco did not play.   It appears that he has been moved to Rochester.  Miguel Sano was 1-for-5 and is batting .250 (5-for-20).

Clark Beeker pitched 5.2 innings, allowing five runs on ten hits and a walk and striking out five.  Alex Robinson struck out three in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits.  Ryan Mason pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.  His ERA is 2.72.

BELOIT 4, CEDAR RAPIDS 3 IN CEDAR RAPIDS (11 INNINGS)

Four consecutive two-out walks brought home a Kernels run in the seventh to tie it 3-3.  Cedar Rapids loaded the bases with one out in the eighth, but a double play ended the inning.  The Snappers scored on a sacrifice fly in the eleventh.  The Kernels were retired on a fly out and two popups in the bottom of the inning.

Robby Rinn was 1-for-4 with a walk and is batting .326.  Jordan Gore was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .301.

Randy Dobnak pitched seven innings, giving up three runs on six hits and three walks and striking out four.  Jovani Moran pitched three shutout innings, giving up one hit and striking out two.  His ERA is 2.23.

ELIZABETHTON TWINS

GCL RAYS 6, GCL TWINS 5 AT RAYS

Aldenis Sanchez hit a two-run triple in a five-run second that put the Rays up 5-2.  The Twins closed to 5-4, but Russ Olive doubled home an insurance run in the fifth.  The Twins had the tying run on third in the sixth and seventh, but their last nine batters were retired.

Tyler Webb was 3-for-5 and is batting .300.  Victor Tademo was 2-for-5 with a double and is batting .321.  Yeltsin Encarnacion was 1-for-4 with a walk and is batting .344.  Austin Hale was 1-for-2 and is batting .333.  Kidany Salva was 0-for-5 and is batting .300.

Kai-Wei Tang pitched four innings, allowing five runs on five hits and three walks and striking out three.  Osiris German pitched three innings, giving up one run on four hits and striking out two.  His ERA is 1.80.  Frandy Torres pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

DSL METS1 4, DSL TWINS 3 AT METS1 (10 INNINGS)

Jim Caceras singled home a run in the top of the tenth to put the Twins up 3-2.  in the bottom of the tenth, RBI singles by Juan De La Rosa and Patricio Diaz gave the Mets1 the victory.

Caceras was 2-for-5 and is batting .316.  Ruben Santana was 1-for-3 and is batting .355.  Jeferson Morales was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .340.

Jose Bermudez pitched 4.2 innings, giving up two runs on six hits and three walks and striking out four.  Yeremi Garcia struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk.  Fernando Sanchez pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.  Danny Moreno struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up only a walk.  His ERA is 1.17.
