Minor Details: Games of July 11

Dietrich Enns pitches fairly well in a loss.  Miguel Sano hits a three-run homer.  Royce Lewis hits his ninth homer.  Ryan Jeffers and Tyler Palm lead the E-Twins.  A big sixth inning carries the GCL Twins.  Victor Heredia stars as the DSL Twins split.

ROCHESTER RED WINGS

No game scheduled due to the all-star game.  The PCL All-Stars beat the IL All-Stars 12-7.

JACKSONVILLE 8, CHATTANOOGA 1 IN JACKSONVILLE

It was scoreless through four, but the Jumbo Shrimp scored two in the fifth, four in the sixth, and one each in the seventh and eighth.  The lone Lookouts run came with two out in the ninth.

Mitchell Kranson was 2-for-4.  Jordan Gore was 1-for-3 and is batting .333.  Zander Wiel was 1-for-2 with two walks and is batting .309.

Dietrich Enns struck out seven in five innings, giving up two runs on seven hits and three walks.

FORT MYERS 7, PALM BEACH 4 IN FORT MYERS

The Cardinals led 4-0, but the Miracle scored three in the fourth and four in the sixth.  Mark Contreras homered to tie the game and a sacrifice fly-plus-error brought home two more runs.

Contreras was 2-for-3 with a home run (his second) and a walk, scoring twice.  Alex Kirilloff was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs and is batting .301.  Miguel Sano was 1-for-2 with a three-run homer (his second) and two walks, scoring twice.  He is batting .321.  Charlie Barnes pitched four innings, giving up four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks and striking out two.  Jovani Moran struck out three in 2.2 scoreless innings, giving up one hit in his high-A debut.  Adam Bray pitched 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 0.84.

FORT WAYNE 8, CEDAR RAPIDS 4 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

The TinCaps scored in each of the first four innings, building a 6-0 lead, then scored two more in the sixth.  The Kernels scored all four of their runs in the seventh inning.

Royce Lewis was 2-for-5 with a two-run homer, his ninth, and is batting .319.  Jose Miranda was 2-for-5 with a home run, his ninth.  Jacob Pearson was 2-for-5 and is batting .301.

Tyler Watson pitched 5.2 innings, giving up eight runs (six earned) on nine hits and two walks and striking out three.  Edwar Colina pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and two walks and striking out three.

ELIZABETHTON 10, JOHNSON CITY 6 IN JOHNSON CITY

It was 10-0 until the Cardinals scored one in the seventh and five in the ninth.

Ryan Jeffers was 3-for-5 with a home run, his second, and is batting .394.  Colton Burns was 2-for-4.  Yunior Severino was 2-for-5 with a home run (his second) and a double, scoring twice and driving in three.  He is batting .321.  Ricky De La Torre was 2-for-5 with a home run.  Lean Marrero was 2-for-5 and scored twice.  Michael Davis was 2-for-5 in his professional debut.

Tyler Palm pitched five shutout innings, giving up five hits and no walks and striking out four.

GCL TWINS 7, GCL RAYS 6 AT TWINS

Trailing 3-2, the Twins scored five in the sixth to go ahead to stay.  The Rays scored three in the ninth and had men on second and third when the game ended.

Samuel Vasquez was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs and is batting .306.  Edgar Herrera was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .314.  Victor Tademo was 2-for-4.  Janigson Villalobos was 1-for-2 and is batting .368.  Kidany Salva was 1-for-3 with a double and is batting .326.

Donny Breek pitched four innings, giving up three runs on six hits and a walk and striking out two.  Regi Grace pitched three shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks and striking out two.  His ERA remains zero through five innings.  Osiris German pitched a scoreless inning, giving up two hits, and his ERA is 2.79.

DSL ROCKIES 4, DSL TWINS 1 AT ROCKIES (GAME 1--7 INNINGS)

Jesus Baptista hit a two-run triple in a three-run first that gave the Rockies a lead they would not relinquish.  The lone Twins run came on a Victor Heredia double in the third.

Heredia was 2-for-2 with a double and a walk and is batting .362.  Luis Milla was 0-for-3 and is batting .313.  Brahiap Carrillo was 1-for-2 with a walk and is batting .306.

Cristian Castro struck out four in three innings but allowed three runs on four hits and a walk.  Luciano De La Cruz struck out three in three innings, giving up one run on two hits

DSL TWINS 5, DSL ROCKIES 0 AT TWINS (GAME 2--7 INNINGS)

The Twins scored three in the fourth to break a scoreless tie.  Victor Heredia hit a two-run homer in the inning.

Jesus Feliz was 2-for-4 with a home run (his second) and a double, driving in two.  Ruben Santana was 2-for-3 with a double and is batting .366.  Heredia was 1-for-3, the home run was his fourth, and he is batting .361.  Jeferson Morales was 1-for-2 with a walk and is batting .321.  Luis Milla was 0-for-3 and is batting .300.

Jesus Toledo struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and three walks.  Bryant Perez struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit.
