        1. I actually didn't watch any of the series this year, but based on him doing a thing I've always hated (dangerous takeout slides) it is some small comfort. (also comforting was Moustakas as the last out of the Brewers season.)

  1. Today I caught and relocated a second racoon off of our deck; from the looks of it, this was the male and Saturday was the female. We've seen racoons off and on in the past, but with the new birdfeeder we just bought they had become a serious nuisance. Hopefully this was the last of them, but I'll be keeping an eye on the level of birdseed the next several days.

          1. I'll let you hose off the deck while I try and bend the metal on the $35 birdfeeder so that it's reusable again. And then you can try find where the 4lbs of bird feed went this past week (hint, a lot of it was on the cement pad and in the hostas underneath it, but not a significant percentage)

      1. At the farm we relocated them infinite miles. To heaven. Actually, probably not heaven; they're raccoons.

    1. The squirrels in our yard are driving me crazy. They dig up everything and leave a mess. Can't use a shotgun in H-istan. Have any of you had success with live traps+squirrels? Where do you get the live traps?

  2. Not a good day to be a coach in Cleveland. Should Terry Francona be worried about the trifecta?

  3. Never been less interested in baseball. Didn’t watch a single playoff game. Still love the game, but the payroll disparity has just made me too cynical about MLB. There’s a dozen ways they could keep the deck from being totally stacked against small market teams, but they just aren’t interested so neither am I. Seems more likely that they would allow teams to buy a 26th active roster spot than they would institute meaningful payroll limits.

  4. I teased this before, but tomorrow on my blog I'm starting my countdown ranking episodes from Black Mirror. Would be fun if fans followed/argued.

Rhu_Ru, even if you haven't seen it, I'd appreciate if you stopped by to tell my how bad my rankings are.

      1. Its on the internet. There's no need to have read or seen something to tell the person who made it that they're wrong and dumb.

    1. I'm STILL upset you ranked such songs as Ob-La-Di, Ob-La Da and Everyone's Got Something to Hide Except Me and My Monkey higher than A Hard Day's Night on your Beatles Song rankings.

        1. With approximately 1,600 songs (and more coming -- there's already 3 albums slated for release in 2019), I'd probably be dead before Beau got to the ones that I would be upset about.
