    1. Thanks. I enjoyed.
I'm watching Aussie Netflix series "Glitch" and "Secret City" right now, so seeing Canberra and hearing more accents plays into my interests of the moment.

    2. I feel like that video wouldn't be as amazing if it weren't for the parachuters commentary.

  1. Watched Capt. Marvel today. It doesn't stand out over other Marvel flics, but it entertained. If there was one thing missing from the film, it's g-forces. And I can't give it a thumbs up because I'm still upset Brie isn't really a Larson.

    1. Also saw it today. The Mrs and I both thought it was outstanding. Lots of humor. Brie "Larson" seems quite capable of carrying the Marvel franchise going forward.

One thing that bugged me -- who was that playing Ronan? Definitely not the same actor.

The de-aging digital work on Samuel L was mostly well done.

      1. Also, no FTL tech in the Kree Empire? Really? And everyone and their sister is going to develop it in the timeline gap between this film and the first Guardians film (err, pretty sure that such tech was already widespread in that timeline when Quill was initially abducted....).

        1. Huh. He looked quite different and, as you say, toned it down.

Also, I did not realize he played Thranduil. Huh.

          1. I remember him most from Mrs. Runner watching Pushing Daisies. Remember, first time you see him in GotG he is emerging from an oily goo and then being decor'd in eye black and parmesan cheese, so he is definitely changing his look then.

To be fair, I had to see the end credits to be sure it was still him as well.
