The Red Wings led 8-1 and held on.

Batting stars:  Ronald Torreyes was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer (his third) and three runs.  Luke Raley was 2-for-5 with a home run (his fourth) and three RBIs.  Zander Weil was 2-for-5.

Pitching stars:  Jake Reed pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  Preston Guilmet struck out all three batters he faced.

Opposition star:  Trey Amburgey was 2-for-4 with a grand slam.

Stats:  Randy Cesar was 0-for-4 with a walk and is batting .310.

Record:  The Red Wings are 9-14, fifth in the International League North, seven games behind Lehigh Valley.

Andy Young hit a two-run homer in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie.

Pitching stars:  Griffin Jax pitched 5.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits and two walks and striking out two.  Jeff Ames pitched a scoreless inning, walking one and striking out one.

Opposition star:  Matt Peacock pitched four innings, giving up one run on two hits and no walks.  He struck out none.

Stats:  Luis Arraez was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .316.  Blankenhorn is batting .313.  Jax has an ERA of 0.66.

Record:  The Blue Wahoos are 17-8, first in the Southern League South, five games ahead of Biloxi.
