A six-run seventh put the game out of reach.

Batting stars:  Tomas Telis was 3-for-5 with a double.  Brent Rooker was 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBIs.  LaMonte Wade was 2-for-3.  Jake Cave was 2-for-4 with a triple, a walk, and two runs.  Wilin Rosario was 2-for-5 with a double, two runs, and three RBIs.

Pitching stars:  Zack Littell struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up a walk.  Jake Reed pitched two shutout innings, giving up three hits and striking out one.

Opposition star:  Luis Guillorme was 3-for-3.

Stats:  Luis Arraez was 1-for-4 with two walks and is batting .333.  Jordany Valdespin was 1-for-5 and is batting .333.

The Blue Wahoos scored two in the sixth and two in the eighth to take a 7-3 lead.

Batting stars:  Travis Blankenhorn was 3-for-4 with two doubles and two runs.  Jaylin Davis was 2-for-3 with two walks.  Caleb Hamilton was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 2-for-5 with three RBIs.

Pitching star:  Tom Hackimer struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up a walk.

Opposition star:  Stone Garrett was 3-for-5 with four RBIs.

Stats:  Ben Rortvedt was 1-for-2 with a walk and is batting .319.  Blankenhorn is batting .312.  Hackimer has an ERA of 1.23.  Sam Clay struck out the only man he faced and has an ERA of 2.70.

Pitching stars:  Blayne Enlow pitched six innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on two hits and two walks and striking out five.  Joe Record struck out two in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk.

Opposition star:  Hayden Deal pitched six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on seven hits and one walk and striking out three.

Stats:  Lewin Diaz was 1-for-4 and is batting .309.  Trevor Larnach was 1-for-4 and is batting .302.  Enlow has an ERA of 2.25.

Record:  The Miracle is 33-24, tied for first with Bradenton in the Florida State League South, one game ahead of Palm Beach.

CEDAR RAPIDS 8, CLINTON 6 IN CLINTON

A three-run eighth gave the Kernels a 7-6 lead.

Batting stars:  Gabe Snyder was 2-for-4 with a walk.  Estamy Urena was 2-for-4.  Wander Javier was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer.  Gabriel Maciel was 2-for-6 with a triple.  Ben Rodriguez was 1-for-5 with a home run, his fourth.

PItching stars:  Zach Neff retired all seven men he faced, striking out three.  Jose Martinez pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit.  Derek Molina struck out two in 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up a hit.

Stats:  Maciel is batting .307.  Jared Akins was 1-for-5 and is batting .300.  Neff has an ERA of 2.79.  Molina has an ERA of 2.91
