Minor Details: Games of June 13

A-Stud keeps hitting.  Players named "Rosario" went 6-for-6 with two doubles, two walks, and six RBIs.  Tough losses put the Blue Wahoos and the Kernels on the brink of elimination.

ROCHESTER 6, COLUMBUS 2 IN ROCHESTER

The Red Wings scored three in the first and led all the way.  Wilin Rosario was 4-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs.  Luis Arraez  was 3-for-5 with a double and is batting .327.  Willians Astudillo was 2-for-4 with a two RBIs and is batting .550.   Jake Cave was 2-for-4 and is batting .306.  Nick Gordon was 2-for-5.  Sean Poppen struck out nine in six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk and has an ERA of 1.55.  The Red Wings are 29-35, in fifth place, 8.5 games back.

TENNESSEE 4, PENSACOLA 3 IN PENSACOLA (10 INNINGS)

Jared Young's two-run single in the tenth broke a 2-2 tie.  Jordan Gore was 3-for-3 with two RBIs.  Ben Rortvedt was 2-for-4 with a double.  Randy Dobnak pitched 6.2 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on eight hits and a walk and striking out five.  His ERA is 2.67.  Jeff Ames struck out four in 2.1 scoreless innings, giving up a walk.  The Blue Wahoos are 37-30, in second place, three games back, and have an elimination number of one.

FORT MYERS AT TAMPA

Rained out.  The game will not be made up.  The MIracle has clinched the first half championship.

WISCONSIN 2, CEDAR RAPIDS 0 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

The Timber Rattlers scored both of their runs in the sixth.  The Kernels had just four hits.  Luis Rijo pitched five shutout innings, giving up one hit and no walks and striking out three.  Zach Neff pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one, and has an ERA of 2.43.  The Kernels are 37-31, in third place, seven games back, two games back for a playoff spot, and have an elimination number of two.

DSL TWINS 6, DSL NATIONALS 0 AT NATIONALS

The Twins scored two each in the third, fourth, and seventh.  Jose Rosario was 2-for-2 with two walks and two RBIs and is batting .318.  Saul Puente was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and is batting .357.  Rhodery Diaz was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and is batting .333.  Misael Urbina was 2-for-5 and is batting .313.  Luciano De La Cruz struck out six in six shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks, and has an ERA of 1.29.  Erasmo Moreno struck out six in three shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk, and has an ERA of 1.42.  The Twins are 6-3, in third place, a half game out of first.
