COLUMBUS 9, ROCHESTER 8 IN COLUMBUS

The Red Wings had leads of 6-0 and 8-2, but the Clippers scored five in the eighth to take the lead to stay.  Brent Rooker was 3-for-4 with a home run (his eighth), a double, and three RBIs.  LaMonte Wade was 2-for-3 with a double and two walks.  Zander Weil was 2-for-4 with a home run (his tenth), a double, and two runs.  Nick Gordon was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs and is batting .302.  Willians Astudillo was 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBIs and is batting .526.  The Red Wings are 32-35, tied for third, 7.5 games back.

CHARLOTTE 2, FORT MYERS 0 IN CHARLOTTE

The Stone Crabs scored single runs in the second and seventh.  Trevor Larnach was 2-for-4 with a double and is batting .314.  Jhoan Duran struck out eleven in five innings, giving up one run on two hits and three walks.  Adalberto Mejia pitched a scoreless inning on a rehab assignment, giving up one walk and striking out one.  The Miracle is 0-1, fifth, 1.5 games back.

ELIZABETHTON 3, BLUEFIELD 2 IN ELIZABETHTON

Tyler Webb's two-run double in the ninth brought home the tying and deciding runs.  Webb was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two RBIs.  Prelander Berroa struck out seven in 4.2 innings, giving up no runs, no hits, and three walks.  J. T. Perez retired all four men he faced, striking out one.  Erik Cha pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up two hits and a walk and striking out one.  The Twins are 1-0, tied for first with Kingsport.

DSL ROCKIES 4, DSL TWINS 3 AT TWINS

Juan Guerrero hit a three-run double in the seventh to put the Rockies in the lead to stay.  Luis Baez was 1-for-2 with two walks.  Juan Pichardo struck out seven in five shutout innings, giving up two hits and no walks.  His ERA is 0.64.  Leyner Ponce pitched two shutout innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  Yordin Mateo pitched a perfect inning and has an ERA of zero.  The Twins are 6-7, tied for fifth, 3.5 games back.
