Home runs carry the Blue Wahoos.  A big inning lifts the E-Twins.

ROCHESTER 6, COLUMBUS 2 IN COLUMBUS (COMPLETION OF SUSPENDED GAME)

Zander Weil hit a three-run homer in the seventh to break a 1-1 tie.  Weil was 1-for-4 and it was his eleventh home run.  Brent Rooker was 1-for-3 with a home run (his ninth), a walk, and two runs.  Cody Stashak struck out four in three innings, giving up one run on two hits and no walks.  His ERA is 2.57.  Fernando Romero pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up one hit and striking out one.  Adam Bray pitched 3.2 innings, giving up one run on two hits and one walk and striking out one.  His ERA is 2.45.  Ian Krol struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.

COLUMBUS 5, ROCHESTER 4 IN COLUMBUS (SCHEDULED GAME--8 INNINGS)

Ryan Flaherty's RBI double brought home the deciding run.  Brent Rooker was 1-for-3 with a three-run homer (his tenth) and a walk.  Gilberto Moya struck out two in a perfect inning as the opener.  The Red Wings are 33-36, tied for fourth, 8.5 games back.

PENSACOLA 4, JACKSONVILLE 3 IN JACKSONVILLE

The Blue Wahoos hit three home runs in the fifth inning, scoring all of their runs in that inning.  Ben Rortvedt was 2-for-3 with a two-run homer (his fourth) and a walk.  Travis Blankenhorn was 2-for-4 with a home run, his twelfth.  Lewin Diaz made his AA debut and was 2-for-4.  Brian Navarreto was 1-for-3 with a home run, his third.  Adalberto Mejia struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.  He was used as the opener as he continues his rehab assignment.  Bryan Sammons struck out eight in six innings, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk.  Jeff Ames pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a walk.  The Blue Wahoos are 1-0, tied for first with Mississippi.

JUPITER 8, FORT MYERS 7 IN JUPITER (11 INNINGS)

A sacrifice fly brought home the deciding run.  Royce Lewis was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer (his fifth), a walk, and three runs.  Jose Miranda was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.  Ernie De La Trinidad was 2-for-5 and is batting .400.  David Banuelos was 2-for-5.  Blayne Enlow pitched seven innings, giving up three runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks and striking out six.  His ERA is 1.80/  Derek Molina pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one in his high-A debut.  The Miracle is 1-3, sixth (last), 2.5 games back.

PEORIA 4, CEDAR RAPIDS 2 IN PEORIA

Brendan Donovan hit a two-run homer in the eighth to break a 2-2 tie.  Ricky De La Torre was 3-for-4 with a double.  Yeltsin Encarnacion was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Jacob Pearson was 2-for-4.  Kody Funderburk struck out seven in four innings, giving up one hit and four walks.  His ERA is 2.08.  The Kernels are 0-1, tied for fifth, one game back.

ELIZABETHTON 13, BLUEFIELD 6 IN ELIZABETHTON

A six-run fifth gave the Twins a 12-4 lead.  Seth Gray was 3-for-5 and is batting .375.  Tyler Webb was 2-for-4 with two doubles, three RBIs, and two runs and is batting .364.  Alex Isola was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and is batting .500.  Ruben Santana was 2-for-5.  Denny Bentley struck out five in three shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.  The E-Twins are 2-1, tied for first with Kingsport.

No game scheduled.  They seem to be having more off days in the DSL this season, for whatever reason.
