Victor Reyes drove in the game's only run on a "soft popup to third base".  Not sure how that works.  Drew Hutchison struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up three hits and two walks.

ROCHESTER 9, TOLEDO 8 IN TOLEDO (GAME 2)*

Down 7-5, the Red Wings scored four in the fifth to go into the lead to stay.  LaMonte Wade was 2-for-2 with two walks and two runs.  Brent Rooker was 2-for-3 with a home run (his eleventh), a double, a walk, two runs, and three RBIs.  He is batting .301.  Jaylin Davis was 2-for-3 with two RBIs.  Wilin Rosario was 2-for-4.  Ryan Eades pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits and striking out one.  The Red Wings are 34-37, in fourth place, eight games back.

The Blue Wahoos scored four in the second to break a 1-1 tie.  Aaron Whitefield was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs and is batting .333.  Travis Blankenhorn was 2-for-4 with a double, two walks, three runs, and two RBIs and is batting .301.  Lewin Diaz was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and is batting .444.  Randy Dobnak struck out seven in seven innings, giving up one run on seven hits and no walks.  His ERA is 2.38.  Tom Hackimer pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit, and has an ERA of 2.01.  The Blue Wahoos are 2-0, in first place, one game ahead.

FORT MYERS 11, JUPITER 7 IN JUPITER

The Miracle scored six in the second and led all the way.  Ryan Jeffers was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.  Gabriel Maciel was 2-for-4 with a walk and two runs and is batting .375.  Trevor Larnach was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and is batting .315.  Ernie De La Trinidad was 2-for-5 with two RBIs and is batting .400.  Royce Lewis was 2-for-5.  Zach Neff struck out four in 3.2 perfect innings and has an ERA of zero.  Alex Phillips struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk.  His ERA is 0.87.  The Miracle is 2-3, in fifth place, two games back.

CEDAR RAPIDS 3, PEORIA 2 IN PEORIA (11 INNINGS)

Peoria scored two in the ninth to tie it, but Gilberto Celestino had an RBI double to bring home the deciding run.  Estamy Urena was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Luis Rijo struck out five in five shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk.  His ERA is 2.72.  Tanner Howell made his Cedar Rapids debut and pitched 1.2 scoreless innings, giving up three walks.  Alex Schick struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up a walk.  The Kernels are 1-1, tied for third, one game back.

KINGSPORT 7, ELIZABETHTON 2 IN KINGSPORT

The Mets scored two in the third to take a 3-1 lead.  The Twins had twelve hits and three walks but stranded fourteen runners.  Willie Joe Garry Jr. was 2-for-4 with a double.  Tyler Webb was 2-for-4 and is batting .400.  Anthony Prato was 2-for-5 and is batting .333.  Charles Mack was 2-for-5.  Seth Gray was 2-for-5 and is batting .385.  The Twins are 2-2, in second place, one game back.

DSL ANGELS 10, DSL TWINS 5 AT TWINS

It was 2-2 after eight--I don't know if both teams just ran out of pitchers or what.  Alexander Pena was 2-for-3 with a double.  Jose Rosario was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, and two RBIs.  Jose Andujar was 2-for-4 with a double and two runs.  Ricardo German was 2-for-4.  Nelson Roberto was 1-for-4 with a home run, his second.  Yordin Mateo pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and striking out one.  Leyner Ponce pitched 3.1 innings, giving up one run on three hits and a walk and striking out three.  The Twins are 6-10, in eighth place, five games back.
