ROCHESTER 10, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 9 IN ROCHESTER

Zander Weil's RBI single in the eighth brought home the deciding run.  Drew Maggi was 4-for-5 with two doubles and three runs.  LaMonte Wade was 3-for-3 with a home run (his fifth), a double, a walk, two runs and two RBIs.  Jaylin Davis was 3-for-4 with two home runs (his second and third), a double, three runs, and six RBIs.  Tomas Telis was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Weil was 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, and two runs.  Cody Stashak pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up a hit and striking out one.  His ERA is 1.86.  The Red Wings are 36-39, in fourth place, eight games back.

PENSACOLA 8, BILOXI 3 IN PENSACOLA

Already leading 5-3, the Blue Wahoos scored three in the eighth to put the game out of reach.  Lewin Diaz was 2-for-5 with a triple, a home run, and four RBIs.  He is batting .385.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 1-for-3 with a home run (his fifth), a walk, and two runs.  Travis Blankenhorn was 1-for-3 with a walk and is batting .300.  Bryan Sammons struck out six in five shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.  Anthony Vizcaya struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and three walks.  His ERA is 0.56.  The Blue Wahoos are 3-3, in fourth place, one game back.

CHARLOTTE 2, FORT MYERS 0 IN CHARLOTTE

The Stone Crabs scored single runs in the first and fifth.  Jhoan Duran struck out eight in five innings, giving up two runs on four hits and three walks.  Melvi Acosta pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits.  His ERA is 2.70.  Alex Phillips struck out two in a perfect inning to make his ERA 0.84.  The Miracle is 3-5, tied for fourth, four games back.

CEDAR RAPIDS 4, WISCONSIN 3 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

The Kernels scored three in the eighth to go ahead 4-2.  They had only three hits but drew five walks.  One of the hits was a home run by Chris Williams, his ninth.  Kai-Wei Teng pitched seven innings, giving up two runs on six hits and a walk and striking out five.  The Kernels are 3-2, tied for second, one game back.

ELIZABETHTON 6, BRISTOL 5 IN ELIZABETHTON

The Twins scored five in the second to go ahead 6-1.  Yeremi De La Cruz was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.  Matt Wallner was 2-for-4.  Max Smith was 2-for-5 and is batting .333.  Spencer Steer was 1-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and two runs.  Prelander Berroa struck out seven in four innings, giving up one run on three hits and three walks.  Osiris German struck out four in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and two walks.  Nate Hadley pitched a scoreless inning and struck out one.  The Twins are 4-3, in third place, a half game back.

GCL TWINS 4, GCL PIRATES 1 AT TWINS

Jake Hirabayashi hit a two-run homer in the second and the Twins led the rest of the way.  Hirabayashi was 3-for-3 and is batting .667.  Donny Breek struck out four in four shutout innings, giving up four hits and a walk.  Rogelio Reyes pitched two shutout innings, giving up a walk and striking out one.  Bradley Hanner struck out three in two shutout innings, giving up two walks.  All the above pitchers have ERAs of zero.  The Twins are 1-1, tied for second, one game back.

The Mets1 scored five runs in the fifth to take a 5-2 lead.  Rhodery Diaz was 2-for-4 with a triple and is batting .362.  Yordin Mateo pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and striking out one.  His ERA is zero.  The Twins are 7-12, in eighth place, 6.5 games back.
