Nick Gordon singled home the deciding run with two out in the ninth.  Jaylin Davis was 2-for-3 with a home run (his tenth) and two runs.  He is batting .326.  Tomas Telis was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer, his sixth.  He is batting .311.  Cody Allen pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.  Cody Stashak struck out two in a perfect inning.  His ERA is 1.33.  The Red Wings are 45-48, tied for fourth, eight games back.

Ryan Costello hit a two-run homer in the eighth to give the Miracle a 5-4 lead.  Jose Miranda was 3-for-4 with a double.  Costello was 2-for-3 with a home run (his eighth), a double, a walk, two runs, and two RBIs.  Joe Record pitched two shutout innings, striking out one.  He has not given up a run in his last five appearances (eleven innings).  Zach Neff pitched a perfect inning and struck out one.  The Miracle is 12-14, tied for fourth, 8.5 games back.

LANSING 2, CEDAR RAPIDS 0 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Hagen Danner hit a two-run homer in the seventh.  Jared Akins was 2-for-4.  Kai-Wei Teng struck out ten in six shutout innings, giving up five hits and no walks.  His ERA is 1.58.  Carlos Suniaga pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits.  The Kernels are 13-10, tied for fourth, three games back.
