Kirby Puckett Region: #2 vs. #15

2. Twins Clinch ALDS in 2002

I was bouncing around I was so nervous.  Poor Hocking ended up injuring himself after this catch.

This video also includes A.J's homer (previously in countdown) and a line drive double for David Ortiz that plated the deciding 5th run.

15. Jim Thome Hits the Flag Pole

It was between this and his homer that made Delmon's jaw slack.

  1. Imagine being Denny Hocking in the seconds before and after catching that ball.

If there is one guy I could make a Twin from the beginning, it’s probably JI

JIM THOME. The Twins had a pretty good draft in 1989, but imagine taking Thome instead of, say, Dan Masteller in the 11th round (Cleveland drafted him in the 13th).

      1. If the season never happens, we might get to that point. Missed draft picks, worst trades & acquisitions, most reviled organization member, voting for an all-time coaching staff of guys who never were named manager, best Homer Hanky design...
