While in Scandia, I've been cleaning out scads of stuff: basement -> garage -> recycling. Today was spent cutting out SSNs and account numbers from old papers so I don't have to burn them in the Firepit (PITA).
Came across this (from an earlier family cookbook I did a while back). See how well you do with no help from the I'webs. Honestly, I couldn't even remember some of the answers. A lot are obvious. Some you'll never get. Spoiler guesses.

I had to look up the instructions. It's obvious now but wasn't before this. I hid the instructions in case you want to figure it out completely.
I got 1- 4, too.
I guessed that for #39, but no idea why it would be correct.
Me, too. Just sounded right, but I didn't know why.
Evidently it is....
I think that's why I came up with that answer, but this fits better:
I've seen this before; there are still a handful I can't remember though.
I also had 1-5,16, 19, 22, 28, and 39.
Unique answers:
Noice!
I don't have the first letter, but pretty sure the rest is:
Here's a few more. Some of these I'm surprised we didn't get earlier. Once it clicks, they seem so much more obvious then they are at first glance. Guess that's part of what makes it a fun game.
You are going to kick yourself in #6
I saw 6 in Punmanbowler's list up above, and was quite disappointed in myself that I didn't get it.
And, even though I don't think I would have gotten it anyway....
Thought about that, but they were back and forthy.
Not really.
All correct (or mostly correct answers). Clues for those you haven't solved:
I looked up #42 because 364.4 was a weird number to me. Yeah, I would have never gotten that one.
Bing bing bing
man, your Santa clue threw me off. Kept thinking D as in deer.
Yep!
I had the PC figured out for 41, but didn't know what the R stood for.
In piloting a ship through the Panama Canal, there are sixteen straight segments ("reaches") you need to guide your ship/craft through. As you progress through the canal you will see the next set of signs/lights on the far canal bank that you navigate towards, then at the right point, you shift to the next segment.
