  1. 3 weeks ago I took a load of Household Hazardous waste to the MDC collection center in Newington. Since then, I collected 2 more bins of stuff after going through the garage/house more meticulously. A lot of weird stuff. Fuel for fondue. Orange wax furniture polish. Wasp spray. Paint spray cans (have I been doing sleep-walker graffiti?). Following the mantra: Clear. Expand. Create. I'm still in clear zone.

  2. Dr. chop says, "I want a decadent dinner". Everything in our usual rotation is blah and meh all the sudden. We work shopped an idea and realized that pork wellington is already a thing. So, that's dinner.

    1. A few kitchen notes. Pork tenderloin and dried apricots are a natural pairing, subbing dried chives for thyme works out well, and drying the puff pastry in the fridge for an hour prior to baking really helped keep the end product dry and flaky rather than soggy. Also prosciutto makes everything better.

  3. I spent a good hour last night watching Chadwick Boseman clips and reading stories.

"Hero" and "superstar" are overused terms in our society. But he was the real deal. What a terrible loss.

          1. Hey, did you see the picture about a week ago from our meetup at Grumpy's? Nine years ago already.

            1. I missed it, but I remember the picture you’re referencing ... that may have been my first meet-up/caucus of any sort with basement-dwellers. Makes sense, we just celebrated Kernel’s 9th birthday.
