  1. Big news today! I finished fixing my floors and installed the new dishwasher. Now I need to finish the visible floor boards and putty the holes. I'll get to that part after I sober up.

  2. In the Dutch Oven

    Portugeuse Cataplana
Shrimp, littleneck clams, and lobster. Strip the shells and cook down the shrimp and lobster shells in fish stock/Vinho Verde wine & butter to glean the marrow from the seafood shells. Throw in the littlenecks for 8 minutes to let them open, then remove.

Drain the detritus, then re-add the liquid to the Dutch oven, add the seafood except the clams, 1/2 can of whole tomatoes, bay leaf, chorizo sausage slices, thyme, tomato paste, olive oil, onion slices, sliced Poblano pepper, more seafood stock, saffron, paprika, splash of wine, and some heavy cream.

After simmering for a while, add the clams and chopped rainbow chard, then serve with crusty bread to sop up the yummy liquid.

    1. I decided to take advantage of our rare cold weather. Dinner tonight will be fresh made chicken noodle soup from last nights leftovers and home made crusty bread. And there’s a loaf of banana bread in the oven to have for breakfast in the morning.

My wife asked if I’m just 8 months the COVID baking trend.

    1. And he did very well. 1-0, 1.59, 1.19 WHIP. 14 walks, but only 13 hits in 22.2 innings. He was thirty-seven at the time. He also pitched one inning in 1939 and retired the side in order, striking out one.
