  1. A lot of Twins Daily commenters posting how the Twins have bottomed out, but then I read how the Diamondbacks are 8-50 since May 2 (something like that), and I know that things could still be a whole lot worse.

    1. One of Murphy's Laws it that whenever you say, "Things can't possibly get any worse," things will immediately get worse.

    2. Arizona went 14-12 in April and 8-48 over May and June. Losing all of your road games doesn't help.

    3. 'Things could be worse' is a Minnesota mantra. There have not been many seasons when I go into July hoping the Twins will be aggressive sellers, but this is one of them.

          1. Isn't Trout on the injured list?

And I bet he can't do a break job or half a dozen other Tool Time With Twayn activities.

    4. how the Twins have bottomed out

      Fun with selective endpoints!

      April 1 through April 16 - Twins went 6-8
Shut down for COVID for a long weekend
      April 17 through May 17 - Twins went 7-18
May 18 through today - Twins have gone 22-22

  2. This is the kind of iffy weather day that I'd prefer to avoid. Morning showers giving way to afternoon clouds with showers returning around 5:00 pm and probably turning to steady rain by 8:00 pm. If they postpone the game before my report time (half an hour before gates open) I stay home or turn around and return home and don't get paid. If they postpone the game in the first few hours after report time we get paid for three hours. If the game gets called more than three hours after report time we go home and get paid for time worked. It's frustrating for everyone involved, but with outdoor baseball you pays your money and you takes your chances.

  3. First day of a daily camp for the oldest two and we started it off by missing the bus that showed up early and didn't wait. At least probably our bus because I didn't wait more than ten minutes to see if it was actually really late as that did happen at the beginning of the school year. Instead I drove them for drop-off. It was described as drop-off but actually was wait around for check-in and staff to form groups in each grade for 50 minutes. I know it's the first day but yikes.
