  1. Heading up to today's game with the kids. Sitting in the nosebleeds, and gonna love every minute of being back at an MLB stadium.

    1. Keep an eye out for the big group of kids in bright yellow/green t-shirts at the game. The jalapeno will be in that group!

      1. Couldn't miss 'em! Also I learned from FB that another one of my friends had kids in that same group.

      1. The excerpts I've seen have about made me get an Athletic account just to read it.

    1. no Copa and no Gold Cup games tonight makes me sad. But Loons are on so thats great.

        1. I fell asleep during the second half. But what I saw was a listless performance by the locals.

  2. I cooked on line yesterday from 11-9 at the joint. I think I shocked a few cooks with the fact that I can still throw down. Monday and Tuesday would have been top 4 days ever for us pre-pandemic and we are doing over twice the sales each week than our best summer weeks ever. We created a monster.

    1. I first read this as you cooked on-line while the general public watched you throw down.

  3. I take it as a personal affront that the NBA Finals will be pre-empting "Holey Moley" on Thursday.

    1. I am just thankful that the month of AEW Dynamite being pre-empted for the playoffs is finally over. My weekly schedule finally has some consistency again!

  4. Five Tampa Bay pitchers combine for a seven-inning no-hitter against the Indians. There were two walks. Apparently there was a play at some point that could have been called a hit that was scored an error. At least, the Indians' radio broadcasters thought it should have been a hit.

  5. One of the things I like most about being an usher in a seating section is how random fans will come up and start up a baseball conversation with you. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who does stuff like that.

    1. I'm picturing many of these conversations including head-shaking this year.

      1. Indeed. Any mention of pitching or injuries gets the bobbleheads moving sideways.

  6. Ex-Twins farmhand Jake Reed makes his first major league start for the Dodgers tonight. He's been a reliever throughout his career and pitched an inning of relief in his major league debut last night, so I assume he's being used as an opener.

    1. The Dodgers brought in another reliever in the second, so apparently it's a bullpen game.
