Didn't have time to put the finishing touches on it.  Randy Dobnak did very well in his first rehab start.

ST. PAUL 7, IOWA 4 IN ST. PAUL

The Saints scored four in the fifth to take a 6-3 lead.

Batting stars:  Jose Miranda was 4-for-5 with a two-run homer (his twelfth) and two runs.  Tomas Telis was 2-for-4.

Pitching star:  Ian Hamilton struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk.

Opposition stars:  Abiatal Avelino was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two walks.  Jared Young was 1-for-4 with a two-run homer.  Brendon Little struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.

Starter:  Bryan Sammons pitched 4.2 innings, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks and struck out two.

Good stats:  Miranda is batting .340.  Hamilton has an ERA of 2.74.

Bad stats:  Trevor Larnach was 0-for-3 and is batting .188.  J. T. Riddle was 1-for-4 and is batting .191.  Sammons has an ERA of 5.32.

Record:  The Saints are 53-42, in first place in the AAA East/Midwest, a half game ahead of Toledo.

WICHITA 2, SPRINGFIELD 0 IN SPRINGFIELD

The Wind Surge scored single runs in the eighth and ninth.

Batting star:  Roy Morales was 1-for-2 with a double.

Pitching stars:  Jordan Balazovic struck out six in six shutout innings, giving up four hits and five walks.  Adam Lau struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up one hit and two walks.  Erik Manoah, Jr. pitched a perfect inning and struck out one.

Opposition stars:  Delvin Perez was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk.  Malcom Nunez was 2-for-4.  Ramon Santos pitched 4.1 innings, giving up an unearned run on one hit and two walks and striking out four.

Good stats:  Morales is batting .315.  B. J. Boyd was 1-for-4 and is batting .313.

Bad stats:  Lau has an ERA of 6.00.  Manoah, Jr. has an ERA of 7.71.

Record:  The Wind Surge is 56-39, in first place in the AA Central/North, five games ahead of Arkansas.

WISCONSIN 12, CEDAR RAPIDS 5 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Leading 6-3, the Timber Rattlers scored six in the ninth.

Batting stars:  Edouard Julien was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks, and two runs.  Daniel Ozoria was 2-for-4.  Matt Wallner was 2-for-5 with a home run (his eleventh), two runs, and two RBIs.

Pitching stars:  None.

Opposition stars:  Kekai Rios was 3-for-4 with three RBIs.  Felix Valerio was 3-for-6 with a two-run homer (his second), a double, and two runs.  Carlos Rodriguez was 3-for-6.

Starter:  Cody Laweryson struck out seven in 4.2 innings, but allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and no walks.

Good stats:  Yunior Severino was 0-for-3 and is batting .405.  Anthony Prato was 1-for-1 and is batting .364.

Bad stats:  Laweryson has an ERA of 5.15.  Tyler Palm allowed two unearned runs in 1.2 innings and has an ERA of 5.94.  Max Smith pitched a third of an inning and gave up no runs.  He has an ERA of 6.75.

DUNEDIN 4, FORT MYERS 3 IN DUNEDIN

Miguel Hiraldo singled home the deciding run in the ninth.

Batting stars:  Charles Mack was 2-for-4.  Jesus Feliz was 1-for-4 with a home run, his fifth.

Pitching star:  Randy Dobnak struck out five in three perfect innings.

Opposition stars:  Jose Rivas was 2-for-3 with a walk and two runs.  Zach Britton was 2-for-4.  Nathanael Perez struck out seven in five innings, giving up one run on six hits and a walk.

Good stats:  Dobnak made his first rehab start and has an ERA of zero.  Zaquiel Puentes gave up two unearned runs in 2.2 innings and has an ERA of 0.79.

Bad stats:  Allante Hall was 0-for-4 and is batting .125.  Will Holland was 0-for-3 and is batting .179.  Aaron Sabato was 0-for-3 and is batting .191.  Misael Urbina was 1-for-4 and is batting .192.

Record:  The Mighty Mussels are 46-44, in third place in the Low-A Southeast/West, sixteen games behind Tampa.
