Jose Miranda has another good day.  A bad day for Simeon Woods Richardson.  A big day for Edouard Julien.  Mikey Perez has a good debut and Christian Encarnacion-Strand just keeps hitting.

OMAHA 4, ST. PAUL 2 IN ST. PAUL

Angelo Castellano homered in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie.

Batting stars:  Gilberto Celestino was 2-for-4 with a home run, his fifth.  Jose Miranda was 2-for-4.

Pitching stars:  Ryan Mason struck out three in 1.1 scoreless innings, giving up two walks.  Edgar Garcia pitched a scoreless inning, walking two.

Opposition stars:  M. J. Melendez was 1-for-2 with a home run (his eighth), three walks, and two runs.  Castellano was 1-for-3 with a home run (his fourth) and a walk.  Marcelo Martinez struck out seven in 6.2 innings, giving up two runs on five hits and no walks.

Starter:  Beau Burrows struck out six in 4.2 innings, but gave up three runs on four hits and two walks.

Good stats:  Miranda is batting .332.  Tomas Telis was 0-for-4 and is batting .301.

The Naturals scored ten runs in the second inning.

Batting stars:  Jermaine Palacios was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Leobaldo Cabrera was 2-for-4 with a three-run homer (his tenth) and two runs.  Ernie De La Trinidad was 1-for-4 with a home run, his eighth.

Pitching stars:  None.

Opposition stars:  Vinnie Pasquantino was 3-for-4 with a home run (his ninth), a walk, two runs, and three RBIs.  Austin Dennis was 2-for-2.  Brewer Hicklen was 2-for-4 with a grand slam (his fifteenth homer), a walk, and three runs.

Starter:  Simeon Woods Richardson pitched 1.2 innings, allowing six runs on three hits and three walks and striking out two.

Good stats:  Roy Morales was 1-for-4 and is batting .308.
