The Saints went marching in to home plate.  A no good, very bad day for Chris Vallimont.  DaShawn Kiersey comes through.  Mikey Perez just keeps hitting.

ST. PAUL 21, OMAHA 4 IN ST. PAUL

The Saints scored seven in the second and six in the fourth, among other big innings.

Batting stars:  Gilberto Celestino was 4-for-6 with three runs and two RBIs.  Tomas Telis was 3-for-4 with three runs.  B. J. Boyd was 3-for-5 with five runs.  Drew Stankiewicz was 2-for-5 with a double and two runs.  Jimmy Kerrigan was 2-for-6 with a home run (his eighteenth), a double, and four RBIs.  J. T. Riddle was 1-for-4 with a home run (his seventh), two runs, and three RBIs.  Sherman Johnson was 1-for-4 with a home run (his fourth), a walk, three runs, and two RBIs.  Mark Contreras was 1-for-4 with a home run (his fifteenth), two walks, and four RBIs.

Pitching stars:  Derek Law struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up a hit and two walks.  Vinny Nittoli struck out two in a perfect inning.  Edgar Garcia pitched two shutout innings, giving up two hits and two walks and striking out one.

Opposition star:  Nate Esposito was 1-for-1 with a walk.

Starter:  Jason Garcia pitched three innings, allowing four runs on five hits and two walks and striking out two.

Good stats:  Celestino is batting .323.  Telis is batting .309.  Garcia has an ERA of 2.83.

Bad stats:  Caleb Hamilton was 0-for-1 and is batting .182.  Nittoli has an ERA of 13.50.  Garcia has an ERA of 14.40.

Already leading 4-1, the Naturals scored five in the third.

Pitching stars:  Evan Sisk pitched 2.2 innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out two.  Erik Manoah, Jr. pitched a scoreless inning, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.  Mitchell Osnowitz struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

Opposition stars:  Clay Dungan was 3-for-6 with a home run (his ninth), three runs, and three RBIs.  Kevin Merrell was 3-for-5 with a home run, his third.  Jon Heasley pitched five innings, giving up one run on six hits and two walks and striking out three.

Starter:  Chris Vallimont pitched 2.1 innings, allowing nine runs (seven earned) on nine hits and two walks and striking out three.

Good stats:  Roy Morales was 1-for-3 and is batting .311.  Burt is batting .302.

The Kernels scored two in the seventh to tie it.  DaShawn Keirsey doubled home the deciding run.

Fort Myers scored four in the seventh to make it 5-5.  Jake Rucker's sacrifice fly in the eighth brought home the deciding run.

Pitching stars:  Regi Grace struck out three in three shutout innings, giving up two hits and a walk.  Matt Mullenbach struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up a walk.

Opposition stars:  L. J. Jones was 2-for-3.  Mike Antico was 2-for-4 with a home run (his fifth) and a walk.  Dionys Rodriguez struck out seven in six innings, giving up one run on two hits and three walks.

Good stats:  Perez is batting .615.  Christian Encarnacion-Strand was 1-for-4 and is batting .406.
