BUFFALO 8, ST. PAUL 7 IN BUFFALO

Samad Taylor hit a three-run homer in the eighth to give the Bisons the lead.

Jermaine Palacios was 2-for-3 with a home run (his fifth), a double, and four RBIs.
Tim Beckham was 2-for-5 with a double, two runs, and three RBIs.
Spencer Steer was 1-for-3 with two walks.

Ronny Henriquez pitched 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on four hits and two walks and striking out five.

The Saints are 33-33, in sixth place in the International League West, a half-game behind fifth-place Indianapolis, seven games behind Nashville.

WICHITA 9, SAN ANTONIO 2 IN WICHITA

Cole Sturgeon hit a three-run homer in a four-run fifth that gave the Wind Surge a 7-2 lead.

Matt Wallner was 3-for-5 with two home runs (his fourteenth and fifteenth), three runs, and four RBIs.
Leobaldo Cabrera was 2-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two runs.
Edouard Julien was 2-for-3 with two walks and two RBIs.
Anthony Prato was 2-for-4 with a double.
Sturgeon was 1-for-5 with a three-run homer, his fifth.

Sawyer Gipson-Long pitched five innings, giving up two runs on six hits and no walks and striking out three.
Melvi Acosta pitched two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.
Steven Cruz pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and striking out one.
Osiris German pitched a scoreless inning, giving up two hits.

The Wind Surge is 34-29, in second place in the Texas League North, 3.5 games behind Tulsa.

CEDAR RAPIDS 2, WEST MICHIGAN 1 IN CEDAR RAPIDS

Trailing 1-0, the Kernels scored two in the eighth.

Kennie Taylor was 2-for-3.
Aaron Sabato was 0-for-1 with three walks.

David Festa pitched six innings, giving up one run on two hits and four walks and striking out three.
Bradley Hanner pitched two shutout innings, giving up one hit.
Derek Molina pitched a perfect inning, striking out one.

The Kernels are 42-22, in first place in the Midwest League West, 7.5 games ahead of Wisconsin.  They have clinched the first half championship.

FORT MYERS 3, LAKELAND 2 IN LAKELAND

The Mighty Mussels scored single runs in the second, fourth, and fifth to take a 3-0 lead.

Noah Miller was 1-for-3 with a walk.

Jordan Carr struck out five in five innings, giving up one run on five hits and two walks.
Jackson Hicks pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit and one walk and striking out one.
Anthony Escobar struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up two hits.

The Mighty Mussels are 40-22, in first place in the Florida State League West, 7.5 games ahead of Clearwater.  They have clinched the first half championship.
