ST. PAUL 10, OMAHA 2 IN ST. PAUL

The Saints scored in five of the first six innings, with a four-run sixth building the lead to 10-1.

Tim Beckham was 3-for-4 with a home run (his fourth), a walk, three runs, and three RBIs.
Braden Bishop was 2-for-4.
Mark Contreras was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs.
Jose Godoy was 2-for-5 with a double.

Aaron Sanchez pitched six innings, giving up one run on three hits and no walks and striking out two.
Jake Petricka pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one walk and striking out one.
Ian Hamilton struck out two in a perfect inning.

The Saints are 38-39, in fifth place in the International League West, 2.5 games behind fourth-place Toledo, nine games behind Nashville.

WICHITA 10, SPRINGFIELD 9 IN SPRINGFIELD

Kyle Schmidt hit a two-run homer in the eighth to break an 8-8 tie.

Anthony Prato was 3-for-4 with a two-run homer, a walk, three runs, and two RBIs.
Kevin Merrell was 2-for-2 with a home run (his fourth), a walk, and three runs.
Schmidt was 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk, and three RBIs.
Edouard Julien was 2-for-5.
Chris Williams was 1-for-3 with a home run (his eighth), two walks, and two runs.

Starter Kody Funderburk pitched 3.1 innings, allowing four runs on four hits and a walk and striking out three.

The Wind Surge is 3-3, tied for second with Springfield in the Texas League North, one game behind Arkansas.

WISCONSIN 5, CEDAR RAPIDS 4 IN WISCONSIN

Tyler Black singled home the deciding run in the eighth inning.

Alerick Soularie was 4-for-5.
Wander Javier was 2-for-4 with a double.
Kyler Fedco was 2-for-5.
Will Holland was 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, his fifth.

Starter Pierce Banks pitched two innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and three walks and striking out two.
Tyler Palm struck out four in three shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk.
Matthew Swain struck out three in three innings, giving up one run on two hits.

The Kernels are 2-7, in sixth (last) place in the Midwest League West, one game behind fourth-place Peoria and Quad Cities, six games behind South Bend and Wisconsin.  The Kernels won the first-half championship.

DUNEDIN AT FORT MYERS

Rained out.  The game will be made up at a later date, it being impossible to make it up at an earlier date.

The Mighty Mussels are 2-5, in fifth place in the Florida State League West, one game behind fourth-place Bradenton, 3.5 games behind Lakeland.  The Mighty Mussels won the first-half championship.
