2022 Game 90: Milwaukee Brewers at Minnesota Twins

Aaron Ashby
vs
Joe Ryan

Day game alert!

Ashby is in his second year with a long cup of coffee last year, spent mostly in relief. This year it's been mostly starts. He strikes out a bunch (10.7 K/9), walks slightly more than is comfortable (4.1 BB/9), but keeps the ball on the ground (60% career groundballs). If the Twins can hit some flyballs though, they have a good chance of leaving the field.

  1. YouTube question: Which number should the Twins retire next?
    * Hunter
    * Morneau
    * Nathan
    * Santana

    Personally, none of the above but Santana if they must.

  2. I can ignore these two YouTube announcer yahoos, but then they picked ii over Morneau, Nathan, and Santana as the next player the Twins should retire.

    1. I will say, though, that I would not be at all surprised it that turns out to be the way it goes.

  3. Why is there so much time dedicated to interstitial ads on these YouTube games? Throw in a PSA or something!

    1. My dad ran into him and his little boy in town (St. Paul). Left him alone because he didn’t want to interrupt what looked like a nice father/son outing. Told me that he could not believe both how big Joe is, and how good he still looks. Like he could lace up the spikes and get back into it with little issue.

  4. Watkins nearly scored he was so far down the line before stopping Correa from getting thrown out at home.

      1. I'm wondering how many of Hader's J6 buddies also became familiar with Miranda in the last 18 months.
