  1. Hey, if i can't be unrealistically optimistic, just shoot me now.

Meanwhile, we're going to make all our connections, our flights will all be on time, and we'll sleep the sleep of the dead on the overnight leg.

  2. We did an overnight to Duluth on Saturday for the Loverboy/Styx/REO Speedwagon concert. It was a pretty good show for a bunch of septuagenarians. Seats on the floor where everybody stood up most of the time, but I'm used to standing on concrete for hours at a time now. Pretty fast beer service given the size of the crowd. REO mixed in some of their good old tunes and Cronin gave a nice callout to Gary Richrath which I really appreciated. Considering I was coming off 19 straight days of work, it was a very welcome diversion.

    1. YES Network highlighting players who played for both franchises. First player they show (sorry Rhu) ? Ron....shall not be named.

  3. Oh mama

This is pork shoulder that's been dry cured for two weeks then smoked today on hickory.

    1. Looks awesome! Slice it thin, then get some Danish rye bread and German hot mustard and some horseradish.

      1. I got about 7.5 lbs, so plenty of room to experiment. I had a couple slices with over easy eggs this morning. Pretty good way to start the day.

      1. I rubbed it up with a mixture of spices and curing salt/kosher salt and stuck it in a bag in the fridge for two weeks before I smoked it yesterday for a couple hours.

        1. cheap - I’ve been waiting for the update.

Any trips to Stillwater or Hudson or whatnot in the near future? Asking for a friend.

          1. Probably not until Christmas, now that school is back up and running again. We didn't visit as often this summer because of a vacation and me being busy with finishing my basement.
