The youngest had the same complaint this morning. He tried the "not feeling well" tactic but it didn't work.
We all managed to sleep in a bit too, but still got to school/work on time.
I can't say it was a lost weekend, but it certainly wasn't a restful one. First speech tournament, basketball tournament, birthday party, Taekwon Do testing, school festival thing, multiple kids doing roles at church. A Monday with 2 court hearings, 2 basketball practices, speech practice and a city council meeting seems tame by comparison.
My first thought this morning was "It's February already and I haven't used any PTO days yet..."

Unfortunately, the Mrs gave me her cold (she tested, not COVID again).
Fortunately, I'm retired (well, not going to work; official separation is at the end of Feb).
Unfortunately, I'm retired, so no sick day pay.
Random fact: To within a tolerance of 2.5%, Randy Johnson had as many strikeouts as Warren Spahn and Sandy Koufax combined.
