  1. YARD GOATS 4, SEA DOGS 3 IN HARTFORD
No Yard Goat reached base until Drew Romo hit the first pitch of the bottom of the sixth into the stands by the right field foul pole. One out later, Bret Boswell hit a triple into left-center but was stranded there. The Sea Dogs had a few walks and hits until then but were kept scoreless by Chris McMahon and then Austin Kitchen. The game zipped along with the only traffic being two walks by the Yard Goats in the seventh and a single by the Sea Dogs in the eighth. It was appreciated with first pitch at 7:14 and a school night. A quick fly out started the ninth but Nike Kavadas hit his first pitch into the visiting team's bullpen. That was it for the top half of the inning. The Yard Goats managed a single and a double in the bottom half but the runner was held at third with one out. He stayed there and we went to free baseball. Both scored a single run in the tenth but we left then. I checked the box score later and they again each scored one run in the 11th and the Yard Goats held the Sea Dogs scoreless in the top of the 12th to walk it off with a bunt single and throwing error by the pitcher. Minor league baseball!

Drew Romo was 1-3 with a home run.
Chris McMahon entered the day with a 7.50 ERA but pitched 5.0 innings, striking out 5 with one walk, four hits, and zero runs.
Austin Kitchen pitched 2.1 scoreless innings with three strikeouts at one walk.
