March 13, 2025: Solid

Wolves with a convincing win on the court of the #2 team in the West last night. Great team game as well. They've had issues coming together this year, but hopefully it's starting to gel. I still don't think Randle is a good fit, but he's certainly been playing very well lately. And hey, five straight home games coming up!

  1. Heading north to God's Country the next two days. Among other things, we'll have the job of convincing Mom she won't be moving back home, and we should be selling the house. Also, that 3"-5" expected on Saturday...

    1. Been looking forward to going into the Cities to watch rugby with the guys this weekend for a month now.

So of course the weather may end up throwing a wrench in that

  2. For some reason every time I watch the Wolves play, Randle can't seem to sink more than half of his free throws. It's obviously not true statistically, but empirically that's the way it always seems.

    1. Once had an employee suggest he could take on a bear if he had a samurai sword. Felt pretty confident shooting him down.
Watching this, sorta think a good swordsman with a sword like this could stand a chance. That first couple swings would be really important though.

      1. The sword is an extension of your core not a function of your arms. With a quiet mind, good stance, and some proper technique the katana is quite effective at being both weapon and shield. The real trick is the quiet mind part......

    2. Many years back, we had a Doberman across the road from our place in Scandia. I remember watching it run around the yard, and was impressed by its speed and veracity. My brother once said he could take out any dog attacking him if needed (give it an arm, go for it’s eyes, etc.). I’m not so sure. I would think watching that animal coming at you at high speed would create a necessary flight response/panic. Might be difficult to quiet the mind.
