Well here I am in Rochester working out my game so that I am ready to rejoin the Minneosta Twins! My rehab is going really well, I feel great and I am throwing the ball good and Coach Glynn says that it's only a matter of time before I get the Big Call and get the Twins back on track to the playoffs! I pitch tonight and I'm so pumped, I think I'm gonna have a good outing.

Well, here I am in Sunny Florida ready to start my rehab assignment and get back on track to rejoining the team in the Majors!

It’s so nice to be down here where it’s warm and nice out instead of in gloomy snowy Minnesota. I think the long Winter really started to get to me in weird ways and I did some things that I kind of regret. It was a really dark time, maybe even darker than the last dark time, but it's good to be feeling happy again. When Mr. Ryan called to tell me that I was ready to start playing baseball again I was so excited, but it was tough to break the news to Cassandra that I was returning to baseball. She got real angry and called me a sellout and a drone and that she always knew I was a yuppie loser. She also said some other stuff that I don't want to talk about.

Music: Bauhaus – She’s In Parties

The world is a ruined abyss of endless torment.
Mayhem and madness are all that is left.
Monsters are everywhere.
Craven beasts pick their way through the wrack and ruin.
Searching in vain for remnants of their own lost souls.
I am a ghost.
I am nothing.

Baseball is a cruel mistress and I just don't know if it’s even worth it anymore. I was so excited to be healthy for the start of the season and to be in the major league rotation. Now I feel like my Career is at a crossroads. I know it's just a forearm strain but what if I never heal? I am doing my rehab and the trainer says I'm doing good. I've heard that Coach Gardenhire wants me back in the rotation because he "likes my stuff." But this is so hard.

Mood: 😀 Excited

It’s another great day to be a Twin! We won another game against the Tigers, who are a great team with some great hitters so getting this W was very important and Meaningful to all us guys. Mike Pelfrey pitched well and the Boys really swung the bats and the Bullpen did its job and that’s what it takes to win big games. I still haven’t pitched yet but I am so excited to be back in the majors and healthy. Coach Gardenhire says I’m gonna pitch in the next series and I might have a chance to give us another series Win and keep us rolling on the road to the Playoffs!

I just feel like this is going to be the best year ever. The offseason was very long and tough, dealing with my injury and all those other things. It was a dark time for me and maybe someday I will be ready to write about it, but for now I am just happy and grateful for my Family and Team (and Brian lol, even if he called me a p***y a lot) for helping me come back in the Spring even Stronger and more perseverant than ever. And not to be arrogant, but I really kicked a** in the Spring! Coach Gardenhire and Mr. Ryan say they are very confident in me and want to “see what I can do” this season and I sure do plan to show them “what I can do” lol! I am going to pitch my tail off win a lot of ballgames.

It’s great to be teammates with Brian again, even if he is still the same dirty dog lol. He didn’t even play today because he was out so late last night, he brought ANOTHER girl home and woke me up at like 3 AM. Oh yeah, we’re roommates now! We have a cool apartment that’s technically a 1 bedroom but one of the closets was so big that I am using it as my bedroom lol. Mom and Scott and Kaycie came over for housewarming and Kaycie was being a brat about how small my room is, but Brian is paying for our cable TV so he gets the big room. He said I should thank him because otherwise we wouldn’t have the Playboy Channel. LOL!

I don’t like to talk bad about former Teammates, but it is also good to not have A**x B*****t in the Clubhouse anymore. He was not a good presence and I can say that this year’s team is 100% Good Guys. I told Brian this and he laughed and said “just wait until they get to know you,” and I am not sure what he meant but he is right there are a lot of new faces to get to know.

All in all, I’d better wrap this up because the guys are celebrating. I just have a feeling that this is going to be a great Season and I know it’s early but the clubhouse already has a playoff feel and I can’t wait to get out there and Pitch.

Until next time,

Game 144 Recap: Again From the Livejournal of Cole DeVries

Mood: 🙁 forlorn

Music: Adele - Someone Like You

I didn't watch the game but I heard we won. I was supposed to be at the stadium but whatever. I went to Mom and Scott's house instead. Mom made meat loaf and tater tots which are my favorite foods but I wasn't even hungry. Kaycie was being a brat all night saying that I was acting like a little p***y but I didn't care. They don't understand. My chest hurts so bad and the doctor said it's because my rib is broken but I know its because I have a broken heart.

Baseball Game Recap: Minnesota vs. Boston

The Minnesotans played the Bostonians in a baseball match last night. The game was played in Boston, but the Minnesota team was victorious. Although it was close early on, Minnesota scored enough points to... hold on, the team with the most points wins, right? So Minnesota won? Yeah, I just checked on wikipedia, the team with the most points wins. Minnesota had five points and Boston had no points, so... wait. Am I looking at this right? Minnesota had 5-9-0 and Boston had 0-2-0? So Minnesota won by scoring 5 and 9 and 0 points while Boston scored 0 and 2 and 0 points.

The winning player for Minnesota was Deduno. The losing player for Boston was Lester. The H in this game was Fien, and the S player was Perkins. Looking at the hitters, the... oh jeez, each hitter gets his own points too? Span scored 4-1-1-1-0-1-1. What the hell does... okay. The hitters scored points or they didn't. I don't care anymore. I think we're done here.

Well it was another day of ups and downs, just another day in the life of a big leaguer! We had a game today and I was the starter, and I think I played pretty good. Coach Gardenhire said "great job out there kiddo heck of a game" so I think he's finally coming around on me :-). I'm starting to be more confident around him but I still don't like to make him upset. I gave up only one run but it was another home run and Coach Gardenhire says I gotta be careful with those because they can really bite you. He was pretty angry after the game but it wasn't at me it was mostly at Alex. But I still remember when Alex told me the other day to go back to triple a with all the other ******* so it was funny to hear him get yelled at for once lol .

Dad and Janelle were at the game and so were Mom and Scott. I don't know if they sat near each other but I guess Kaycie was sitting with Mom. She probably wasn't watching when I got my strikeouts, she was probably doing facebook. She is still such a brat but she's going into high school soon so maybe she will grow up finally.

Nicole was at the game too! (I told you about Nicole last week) I guess Brian invited her and she sat with his friend Trish. I don't know Trish but I know Brian and the girls he's frinds with so I hope she didn't give Nicole the wrong idea about me. Brian kept giving me a hard time in the dugout and pointing to their seats and being his randy self lol. Sometimes idk about Brian but he's the nicest to me of all the guys.

All in all it was a mixed day. I pitched pretty good but we didn't get the win, and we are still fighting for the playoffs here. A W would have been nice but at least I didn't get the L (lol take that Alex). We just need to keep battling our tails off and we'll get them next time, that's what Coach Gardenhire always says. And I wish I got to see Nicole tonight be we are already on the road to Kansas City so it will have to wait :-(! Sometimes this big league life is crazy but I wouldn't trade it for any other. Until next time guys,

Game 68 Recap: Sandwich

I did not watch or listen to the Twins at all last night. Here's a link to the official mlb.com story, which I'm guessing nobody will click on because who cares? Instead of recapping the game, let me recap the sandwich I made for dinner.

I'm traveling to Europe next week and I'm endeavoring to use up all my perishable food before I leave, so I basically emptied the fridge for this bad boy. I started with two slices of whole wheat bread. One one slice, I spread a thick layer of extra-garlicky hummus. On the other slice, an even thicker layer of 2% cottage cheese. After that, the ingredients as follows: diced red onion. Finely chopped green pepper. Shaved carrot. Sliced grape tomatoes. Cucumber slices? Of course. And a big heap of fresh spinach. Topped off with a pile of mesquite-smoked deli-sliced turkey breast. Then I drizzled it with Italian salad dressing, and doused it with Frank's hot sauce because #YOLO.

And, my friends, let me tell you... it was
