The Milkmaid cut open my finger last night to get at the ingrown nail and to release the pus that had built up, causing insane pressure and pain I wouldn't have seen coming. I had a small glass of whiskey for liquid courage - my first hard liquor in over a year and a half. I think I earned that one.

The logs are full but recapping duties are still open. We'll probably stop wanting to recap games about a month into the season anyway, so it's not like it's a big job. Go here if you want one.

I went into my daughters' room last night and thought they were hiding rotting fish or something. It turned out to be Sour Cream's feet. The kid is six!

Once again, the major leaguers are heading out of town just as I'm getting to know some of them. On the upside, baseball!

Does it seem like it snuck up on people more than usual? Maybe tempered expectations do that.

It's annoying to have to make apologies for other people in my department; it's worse to ask the customer which employee gave them misinformation and already know who it's going to be.
