Game 141 Twins at Royals

It would be great if the Twins could score a bunch of runs early and cruise to a victory. This late inning rally stuff is bad for the ol ticker.

Ervin Santana for the Twins. Ian Kennedy for the Royals.

Fun fact! Joe Mauer has 3 IBBs on the season, 2 in the last two games! I predict he hits at least two home runs tonight.

Game 139: Minnesota at Tampa Bay

The Twins have now lost their past two series and past three games in a row. That, combined with the Angels winning ways, has knocked the team out of the 2nd Wild Card slot. They now stand .5 game back of LAA and only .5 games up on Baltimore (currently on a 7-3 run in their past 10).

A win today helps them keep pace - I'm not familiar with Blake Snell (Tampa's starter), but let's hope Slegers is ready to deal and the offense wakes up.

Edit - Leadoff Dongerjack by Dozier!

Game 138: Twins v. Rays

In the continual roller coaster of the Twins season, we are now back on the downward slide. Three losses out of four games against marginal teams has left everyone a little grumpy. Will the Twins bounce back like they have so many times this season and finally put a stranglehold on a playoff berth or is this fatal fall that we’ve all worried about since May? Except for Sano, Twins looking to field a full roster today as Castro back to catching after being in the concussion protocol. Bartolo Colon on the mound for the Twins and they will need a big sexy game from him. Jake Odorizzi brings his pedestrian 7-7, 4.85 record to the Trop for the Rays. Game at 6:10p.

Game 136: Royals at Twins

Ian Kennedy vs. Ervin Santana, 1:10 CDT

Joe Mauer is batting over .300 and appears to be a favorite to win a Gold Glove. A pitcher that was named Johan Santana at birth and has a fastball, slider, changeup repertoire is the ace of the staff. A closer named Matt is filling in for an injured All-Star closer. The Twins are in a playoff position with a positive run differential in September. I'm having some major flashbacks to some really good times. But at the same time, I'm really enjoying this day-by-day with the Twins.
