Game 156 — Tigers at Twins

Last home stand of the Twins’ season and the weather forecast looks cloudy, gray and cold the entire week. What a perfect metaphor for the Twin’s 2018 season. Twins versus Tigers one last series with Kohl Steward the primary pitcher (Opener hasn’t been named as I write this). Spencer Turnball, who didn’t have the greatest first start last week, on for the Tigers. (I didn’t check if he had a good curveball, which would be cool given his last name).

Game at 7:10p. It may be playing out the string but it’s still better than football.

Last game log of the season for me. Thanks for reading!

2018 Game 155: Twins at Athletics

So, when do pitchers and catchers report for spring training? It's hard to believe that a whole baseball season has come and nearly gone already. What began with such hope and promise in the spring eventually turned to vague dissatisfaction by midsummer and finally, after the non-waiver trade deadline, to widespread ennui. So now we can turn our full attention to shanked placekicks and human resources debacles and other forms of sporting entertainment and dismay. Gibson on the mound for the Twins today, the A's feature Trevor Cahill. Smoke 'em while you got 'em, gents - this pack is almost gone. Play ball!

Game 152: twins @ tigers

Sad news. Eduardo Escobar isn't leading the majors in doubles anymore.

Also, the Twins COULD still finish the season at .500. They'll have to win all eleven games, but it could happen.

They've started an opener today, Gabriel Moya, with Gonsalves coming later. I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about the opener idea, but it's here, and we've been sort of "meh" at it so far.

And now Grossman scores! 1-0 Twins. Let's keep that going.
