Tony Kemp hit a three-run homer in the second and St. Paul added four in the fourth  to take a commanding lead.

Cedar Rapids scored two in the fifth, three in the sixth, and three in the seventh to build an 8-0 lead.  Peoria scored all their runs in the ninth.  Cedar Rapids had a combined perfect game going until the ninth.

I couldn't pay as much attention as I would have liked to that game, but I'm hoping there's a Grand Plan from on high about to kick in (I don't mean that heretically, just that I hope a solution appears).

Man, it was a close game and I was distracted from most it so I can't nitpick, but I hope they can figure it out. From what I saw though, it sure did look like McDaniels and KAT had themselves a game.

The game was suspended in the top of the third with St. Paul leading 3-0.  It will be completed as part of a doubleheader today.

SAN ANTONIO MISSIONS 4, WICHITA WIND SURGE 3 IN WICHITA (10 INNINGS)

San Antonio scored in the ninth on three walks and a hit batsman to tie it 3-3.  Cole Cummings singled home the deciding run in the tenth.

Multi-hit games:  Jeferson Morales was 2-for-4 with a double.  Kala'i Rosario was 2-for-5.
