We're missing the actually good Minnesota sports team, right? So...here is something from the Wu-Tang member's seminal 1995 album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... - get it??? (I know it's Sunday, but this is extremely Not Safe For Church, or Work.)

Lizzo – Lift Every Voice and Sing/Good as Hell
Happy to see Lizzo blowing up lately.
2016
(uhh, kinda FZ, I guess)
Janelle Monáe – Q.U.E.E.N.
Here's somebody who was in not one, but two Oscar-nominated flicks, including the real actual Best Picture winner. Look at me being all super-timely.
Chance the Rapper – No Problem
This guy won some Grammys too, right? Cause he's, you know, "new" and stuff.
A Tribe Called Quest – We the People….
Not the performance from just the other night, but close enough.
ILoveMakonnen – Tuesday
The Migos guys got in trouble the other day for some things they said about this fellow, so I figured I ought to give him a turn in the playlist. This one is def NSFW.
Migos – Bad and Boujee
I hear these guys are some kind of sensation on the internets these days.
Anderson .Paak – Silicon Valley/Carry Me
YOUNG THUG – HARAMBE
Young Thug's Jeffery was my favorite album of 2016, and Harambe was my favorite song. To me it's a perfect embodiment of the year that was... a bipolar drumbeat of aggression that's also a gasping, heartfelt paean to love, all in honor of one of the year's most prominent memes... it's perfect.
Beyoncé-Freedom
I love this whole album, guys. Along with being an easy pick for "best of 2016," when I look back, I think Lemonade will be particularly evocative of this sometimes bizarre and painful year.
That said, don't let the previous sentence scare you off--this performance is all kinds of awesome.
